FULL-TIME, 8-HOUR DAY, 12 MONTH PER YEAR POSITION

  • Embodies an energetic and highly motivated work ethic needed to assist with the design, development, and overall supervision of the Special Education Programming on the Eastern end of GST BOCES, Elmira City School District, Elmira Heights school District, Horseheads School District, and GST Bush Campus.
  • Help Principals with the daily supervision of Special Education Classrooms
  • Knowledgeable and has experience with instructional technology, inquiry/project-based learning, and interdisciplinary learning
  • Responsible for assisting in the recruitment process including placement, ongoing district communication/training, and evaluation of student enrollment.
  • Assists in the drive for exceptional student outcomes and embodies a deep personal commitment and dedication to working with students and their families
  • Assists in the responsibility of the master scheduling
  • Assists in the preparation, management, and administration of the budget
  • Responsible for the evaluation of student progress and performance within the program
  • Assists the Principal in curriculum development and professional learning
  • Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned
