Salary: Based on experience and demonstrated abilities. Additional stipends may be available depending on qualifications per the Education Association contract.

Depending on location, this position may involve direct work with students with autism, emotional and/or developmental disabilities which may include, but are not limited to, oppositional and aggressive behaviors; mood disorders; and potentially severe and unpredictable physical and/or verbal outbursts. Social Workers are expected to:

  • Evaluate and re-evaluate short-term behavioral and academic objectives on a regular basis throughout the school year
  • Provide counseling services for students in BOCES classrooms
  • Attend CSE meetings or other student support meetings as needed
  • Refer as necessary to Mental Health Services outside the school environment
  • Develop solutions focused outcomes for social, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues as they arise
  • Carries out all other duties as assigned

12:1:2 – 1:1 Teaching Assistant Positions

  •  Diven Elementary Preschool Classroom

12:1:3 – Teaching Assistant Positions

  • Bath Havering Elementary School– 2 Positions, Bush Campus

8:1:1 – Classroom Teaching Assistant

12:1:2

  • Preschool Columbian Elementary - 2 Positions, Preschool Diven Elementary 

Salary: Based on experience and demonstrated abilities. Additional stipends may be available depending on qualifications per the Education Association contract.
