Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 7.5 hours per day, 12 months per year

  • Handle and post various cash receipts;
  • Meet the public and answer routine requests for information;
  • Perform routine filing, clerical and account keeping tasks;
  • Operate a personal computer, copier, calculator and other office machines;
  • Review and process all departmental requests for purchase orders and order supplies;
  • Data input;
  • Sort mail;
  • Perform other duties or projects as may be assigned from time to time.

 

ACCOUNT CLERK - CBO19 MSC 23

Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 7.5 hours per day, 12 months per year

ACCOUNTANT - SCHOOL; CBO23 MSC 23

Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 8 hours per day, 12 months per year

  • Posts and maintains district accounting records, including capital projects and Federal and State grants.
  • Prepares entries necessary to close accounts at the end of the school year.
  • Prepares financial and statistical reports from accounting records.
  • Prepares state reports.
  • Records and posts summary accounting records on a personal computer.
  • Keeps records of receipts and expenditures and allocates receipts to proper funds.
  • Assists with preparation of cash flow records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
ANTICIPATED ACCOUNTANT (SCHOOL) GRANT SERVICES - LANGDON PLAZA30 ISS23

ANTICIPATED POSITION IN THE GRANT SERVICES DEPARTMENT, LOCATED AT LANGDON PLAZA, ELMIRA NY

Full-time position (1.0 FTE), 8 hours per day, 12 months per year

  • Posts and maintains accounting records for multiple complex local, State, and Federal grants
  • Monitors, manages, and reconciles local, State, and Federal grant account balances, budget expenditures, and revenues according to a prescribed procedure
  • Prepares budget projections and financial grants analyses from accounting records for use by the Fiscal Grants Management Team and Grant Program Coordinators
  • Assists the Fiscal Grants Management Team with grant budget development, fiscal management, budget amendment, end-of-year closeout, and related financial report completion
  • Reviews, codes, classifies, and audits grant-related invoices, purchase orders, vouchers, and payroll records
  • Assists with grant audits and monitoring reviews
  • Reviews accounts for accuracy and compliance with grant requirements and regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
INVENTORY CLERK - SCIENCE CENTER33 ISS23

LOCATED AT SCIENCE CENTER, ELMIRA

2 - Full Time ( 1.0 FTE), 7.5 hours/day 12 - month positions

  • Processes and prepares new curriculum-related resources, materials, or kits (manually assembles STEM kit contents)
  • Customizes kits to customer specifications
  • Assesses inventory to determine type and number of materials needed
  • Acts as purchasing agent
  • Maintains and implements requisition procedures for materials purchasing
  • Develops and maintains schedules and records for tracking a high volume of educational kits
  • Organizes and maintains several inventories using databases & online shipping software
  • Performs routine office tasks such as answering phones, servicing customers, maintaining files, etc.
  • Performs tasks related to shipping and receiving
  • Uses customized software programs based on programmatic needs i.e., Outlook, Wincap Financial, WIMS, Microsoft Word, and/or ExceL
  • Maintains routine inventories of equipment and materials for curriculum/resource kits;
  • Other duties as assigned.
