Job Description

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 7-Hr day, 10- Month School Calendar Year

• Assist with instructing secondary students in the area of Building Construction
• Assist with monitoring student progress
• Assist with maintaining discipline in the classroom and work sites
• Carry out all other duties as assigned by the teacher and the Principal

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification; must possess at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant Certificate/ Initial Teaching Assistant Certificate; possession of the following certificates helpful Valid NYS Certification in Carpentry 7-12

• Extensive experience with Building Trades is required
• Experience in residential home buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and drywall 
• Experience with computers preferred
