Job Description

LOCATION: COOPERS EDUCATION CENTER AND CLINICAL SITES WITHIN STEUBEN AND SCHUYLER COUNTY

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month position

• Provides supervision, education, and hands-on training for Adult PN students.
• Responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of clinical goals and objectives of the PN program.
• Prepares students to successfully pass the NYS certification exam.
• Supports students by providing theory then demonstration of clinical skills in relation to theory, and acts as a mentor/role model to the students.
• Acts as a liaison between GST BOCES and clinical sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the program coordinator.

Job Qualifications

Current NYS Licensure As A Registered Nurse And 5 Years’ Clinical Experience Caring For The Elderly And/Or Chronically Ill.                                                  

• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic), along with a positive outlook and disposition are required.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with students, peers, and clinical sites, is essential.
• Accountable, efficient, and effectively works as part of the team.
• Candidates need to be available to teach 18–35 hours / week
