LOCATION: GST BOCES Region
START DATE: Expected July 1, 2019; exact date to be determined
Full-time position (1.0 FTE); hours per day are dependent upon work location; 10 months plus 20 days
Job Duties: Develop, promote and conduct regional and targeted professional development and technical assistance to regional school administrators, teachers, support staff and parents and community members in providing specially designed instruction to support the learning of students with disabilities. Specific training requirements would include:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: include a Master’s degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, School Psychology, Reading or Speech and Language or Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and experience in providing professional development and technical assistance. Specially Designed Instruction Specialist will provide training and technical assistance on research-based instructional teaching and learning strategies.
Salary: Per Educational Association contract. Plus comprehensive benefits package.
