Job Description
            •  
  • Two (2) full-time positions (1.0 FTE), 8 hours per day, 12 months per year
  • Location:  District assignments - to be determined
  • Supervises and evaluates staff under new APPR regulations as requested by the districts.
  • Directs the professional development program selected as a district model, including the organization and training of participants.
  • Develops and coordinates orientation activities for new instructional staff members.
  • Initiates and coordinates professional development for teachers, administrators, assistants and non-instructional personnel.
  • Teams with district staff and consultants to ensure the delivery of consistent district-wide professional development.
  • Teams with business/industry and post-secondary partners as needed.
  • Acts as part of a team to develop and submit instructional grant proposals.
  • Tailors professional development for specific district needs in a K-12 environment.
  • Provides in-class support for teachers.
  • Disseminates and analyzes pertinent SED information.
  • Supports the use of technology to enhance collaboration, motivate and improve student outcomes.
  • Supports and mentors the Professional Growth Program.
  • Conducts follow-up classroom observations and support for teachers.
  • Sits on the SIP committee, Principals, and School-Based Inquiry teams as necessary.
  • Supervises the reporting of in-service credit to the Human Resources office.
  • Assists the district with data analysis services.
  • Works closely with the districts’ teacher mentoring programs.
  • Works with test and scoring administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • New York State certification in School District Administrator

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or school administration
  • Certified as Lead Evaluator or willing to become certified.
