Part-time (.475 FTE), 19 hours, 10 month position, regional districts as assigned
- Make logistical arrangements to coordinate Career Education programs, including job shadowing, field trips, career days, mock interviews, classroom speakers, etc.
- Coordinates with school personnel and participating young adults.
- Travels to schools and takes requests for career programs from teachers and school counselors.
- Participates in career education programs from businesses, industries, community, and governmental agencies.
- Maintains computerized records of resources used and programming events held.
- Ability to arrange and coordinate programs and logistics
- Strong communication and computer skills required
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. and be physically fit to meet the demands of the job
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, travel required with GST BOCES region
- Other duties as assigned.

This is a competitive Civil Service position.
This will be a provisional appointment pending Civil Service exam. The selected candidate must possess this title or be among the top three of a current, binding Civil Service list for the title or if no binding Civil Service list, be in the top three after taking the required Civil Service exam for the title.
Candidates must meet the following Civil Service MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either:
A. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of experience in business or the classroom in which duties included program coordination, arranging logistics or customer service, OR
C. Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and four years of experience in business or the classroom in which duties included program coordination, arranging logistics or customer service.
