Job Description

Full-time (1.0 FTE)

• 7 hours per day, 10 months per year, school calendar
• Assisting secondary students in Heavy Equipment
• Monitoring students progress
• Maintaining discipline in the classroom and work sites
• Carry out all other duties as assigned by Administration

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification Level 1; Possession of the following certificates helpful: CDL Class A license; OSHA training/trainer

• Experience with heavy equipment is preferred
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and willingness to work outdoors is required
• Experience, willingness and ability to work with secondary students in both classroom, various hands on settings and job site settings
• Have background in heavy equipment, small engines, diesel engines, chain saw
• Experience with computers is preferred

 

SALARY: Per Educational Association Contract.  Plus comprehensive benefit package
