Job Description

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 7-hour day, 10-month School Calendar Position

• Position teaching the New Visions Human Services/Education course
• Teaching the following ACE courses: Foundations of Personal Health, Introduction to Human Services, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Basic Life Support/CPR/AED, Helping Skills, Achievement Motivation, and Introduction to Sociology
• Ability to work within a team, both in the counseling department and within New Visions
• Relationship building with area employers within the human services field
• Supervision of student internships and off-campus learning opportunities
• Participate in program-building roadshows
• Responsible for complying with state and federal regulations
• Promote positive and cooperative working relationships
• Collaborate with all related service and support personnel to provide an integrated program that addresses students’ individual academic, behavioral and emotional development
• Keep abreast of changes and developments in the field by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications
• Carry out all other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Teaching Certification

• Experience teaching college courses preferred
