Job Description

PER-DIEM/TEMPORARY POSITION, HOURLY EMPLOYEE

• Provide adults with hands-on skills that pertain to the Heavy Equipment Program
• Prepare students to work within a construction or heavy equipment setting
• Experience with Heavy Equipment is preferred
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and willingness to work outdoors is required
• Experience, willingness, and ability to work with secondary students in both classroom, various hands-on settings and job site settings
• Have background in agriculture, farming, natural resources and/or construction
• Have experience in the following: forestry, chainsaw, surveying, aquaculture, natural resources, greenhouse production
• Keep current with changes and developments in the field
• Communicate regularly with the students
• Maintain discipline on the road and campus
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Driver's License

Knowledge/Skill: Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all the laws and regulations covering heavy equipment operations. Instructors must also be capable of demonstrating OSHA safety standards to students.
