Job Description

Full-Time (1.0 FTE), 7-Hr, 10-Month School Calendar Year Position

• Provide juniors and seniors with rigorous and engaging classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the Audio Media Industry
• Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills 
• Implement 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students with diverse learning needs 
• Keep current with changes and developments in the Audio Media industry  
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, home school counselors and all others involved with the education of all students 
• Maintain discipline in the classroom  
• Uphold the BOCES Values: Service, Collaboration, Leadership, and Integrity 
• Instructing students on the fundamentals of audio production including sound recording, Pro Tools software editing, mixing, and manipulations
• Using various audio technologies while tailoring instruction to the high school level
• Be familiar with all phases of video and film production, which includes camera basics, scripting, recording, recording, Adobe Premiere editing, audio, lighting, directing, and graphics
• Be proficient with Pro Tools software and Adobe Premiere editing software
• Carry out all other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Certification in Media Communications
