Job Description

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-hr day, 10-month, school calendar year position

  • Instructing secondary students in Conservation
  • Monitoring student progress
  • Maintaining discipline in the classroom and work sites
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by Administration
Job Qualifications

Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification level 1; possession of the following certificates helpful:

  • CDL Class A license;
  • NYS Hunter Education Instructor in Hunter Education:
  • Waterfowl Education
  • Trapper Training and Bowhunter Education 
  • NYS Erosion Control
  • OSHA training/trainer
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment is preferred
  • Ability to handle heavy lifting and a willingness to work outdoors is required
  • Experience, willingness, and ability to work with secondary students in both classroom, various hands-on settings, and job site settings
  • Have a background in agriculture, farming, natural resources and/or construction
  • Have experience in the following: forestry, chain saw, surveying, aquaculture, natural resources, greenhouse production
  • Experience with computers preferred

SALARY: Per Educational Association Contract.  Plus comprehensive benefit package
