Job Description

LOCATION:   BUSH, COOPERS, AND WILDWOOD EDUCATION CENTER

Per-Diem, Temporary Position, Hourly Employee

• Provide adults with hands-on skills that pertain to the CDL A Licensure
• Prepare students for the CDL A Road Test Exam
• Collaborate with the other Drive Time CDL Instructors
• Monitor student progress
• Keep current with changes and developments in the field
• Communicate regularly with the students
• Maintain discipline in the on the road
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications

VALID NYS CDL A LICENSE                                                                         

• Knowledge/Skill: Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all the laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations. Driving instructors must also be capable of demonstrating the SAGE curriculum subject matter for the students.
• Attitude: Driving instructors/teachers must show an attitude that is favorable toward performance. Driver/Instructor attitudes are assessed according to professionalism, respect, motivation, safety, patience and willing to work with others

Salary:  $25.00 per hour
